Playing iPad Photo Slideshow on HDTV with AirPlay

If you have both iPad2 and Apple TV (2nd generation), you can use the AirPlay to wirelessly stream the a photo slideshow to your HDTV and speakers via AppleTV. This great feature will amazing your audience.

Requirements:

1. To use this feature, you need iPad 2 and Apple TV (2nd generation), iPad1 and AppleTV1 does not work.

2. iOS5  is installed on both devices.

3. Photo Slideshow Director HD ( Available on AppStore for $1.99 )

 

Guide:

Here is the guide to mirror your photo slideshow to HDTV:

Step 1:   Make sure both of your devices ( iPad 2 and Apple TV ) have at least iOS 5.  You can check for updates on the Apple TV by going to Settings > General > Update Software.

Step 2:  Make sure your iPad 2 and Apple TV are in the same WIFI network.

Step 3:  Double-tap the home button on the iPad to bring up the Multitasking Bar. Swipe to move to the left of the Multitasking Bar, so you can see the set of controls just to the left of the volume adjustment slider. The button just to the right of the Fast Forward button – the one that has a rectangle with a solid, upward-facing arrow in it – is the AirPlay button. Tap to switch from iPad to Apple TV.

Step 4:  Go back to Photo Slideshow Director HD, tap the “Export” icon and you will see a “HDTV” item, tap it and then play your slideshow, the slideshow will be mirrored to HDTV.
